Reasoning model

A model variant that "thinks out loud" internally — working through steps before answering, like doing scratch work before writing the final answer. Slower and pricier, but much better at multi-step problems.

Why it matters: another cost/quality dial. Planning a project: reasoning model. Reformatting a list: absolutely not.
