Tying every answer to real source material: the model may only answer from documents and data you provide, ideally quoting where each claim came from. An ungrounded answer comes from the model's general training; a grounded one comes from your records.
Why it matters: grounding is the main defense against hallucination. "Is this grounded?" is the first question to ask any AI feature that answers from company data.
