Legacy Systems Copilot

A mobile copilot that helps field teams work with operational records held in established business systems.

Anonymous legacy-systems copilot linking an older records interface to a modern answer panel
Case study

What it helps with

Field teams can spend too much time navigating established operational systems when they need a small set of facts on a phone. This anonymous prototype explores a faster conversational route while recognising that a fluent answer is unsafe if its source, meaning, or freshness cannot be proved.

What was built

The pre-launch prototype mirrors authorised records from an established ERP into a mobile workspace and keeps source and freshness context beside factual answers. The organisation, industry, and operating details remain anonymous. The real import and deployment work exists, but that does not prove the answers are correct.

What made it different

Current status: NO-GO for a client pilot. The next gate is a written question scope and a complete production test against authoritative records, including ambiguity and unavailable cases. Until that test passes at 100% inside the agreed scope, open-ended factual chat stays outside the proven product.

Lesson learned

A conversational layer is only trustworthy when every answer remains tied to the authorised source record and its freshness.

What it demonstrates

  • Plain-language operational lookup
  • Source and freshness context
  • Mobile-first field workflow
